About Sai Baba
Sai Baba was an Indian Saint who lived in Shirdi (India) from 1838 to 1918. Baba is recognised, and is held in high esteem as both Guru and Saint by one and all. Baba taught that all religions led to the same goal, and sought to show humanity that “Sabka Maalik Ek”, meaning “God is the sole owner”. During his lifetime, Baba was accessible to, and listened to people from all walks of life – from the downtrodden, to the poor, and to the rich. A prayer to Sai Baba always assures peace of mind and happiness to the devotee.
Sai Baba’s Life
Sai Baba was sixteen years old he first arrived in the village of Shirdi in Maharashtra, India. He lived a very ascetic life, spending many hours in prayer and meditation. Without any preaching or attempt to attract followers, people were drawn to his presence, and in course of time Baba began to attract followers from people all over the world. Sai Baba lived in Shirdi all his life; the Samadhi Mandir at Shirdi is where his mortal remains are buried. The devotees of Sai all over the world knows that Baba is always with them, and guides them through their life.
Shirdi Sai Baba’s Eleven Assurances
- Whoever puts his feet on shirdi soil, his sufferings will come to an end.
- The wretched and miserable will rise to joy and happiness, as soon as they climb the steps of my Samadhi.
- I shall be ever active and vigorous even after leaving this earthly body.
- My tomb shall bless and speak to the needs of my devotees.
- I shall be active and vigorous even from my tomb.
- My mortal remains will speak from my tomb.
- I am ever living to help and guide all who come to me, who surrender to me and who seek refuge in me.
- If you look to me, i look to you.
- If you cast your burden on me, i shall surely bear it.
- If you seek my advice and help, it shall be given to you at once.
- There shall be no want in the house of my devotee.
